Travel with Peter Baxter

A combination of Wildlife and Heritage

The open plains and thundering hooves is arguably the most common stereotype of African Travel, and although this is there to be seen in any number of iconic eco-destinations continent wide, it is only a small part of what makes Africa so compelling as a travel destination.

My interest in African Travel is multifaceted

I am an accomplished mountaineer with more than twenty five years of specialist mountain guiding in Africa behind me, including Kilimanjaro, Mount Kenya, the Rwenzori Mountains and a great many others. I am also a competent birding guide with a detailed knowledge of all the best birding outfitters as well as much of what can be seen. As an author on subjects of African history and politics I am also ideally placed to educate visitors on many of these subtle nuances. A trip to Africa with me, or arranged by me, avoids the obvious, and highlights the unique.

Africa History, Politics and Culture

As an author I have studied African history in a great deal of detail, and as an African traveler I am fully conversant with the best ways to visit and enjoy what the continent has to offer. Either travel with me for a personally guided tour of East and Southern Africa , or allow me to use my extensive list of local contacts to connect you up with the best outfitter for your particular trip.

Eco Travel Africa specializes in individual journeys for the cerebral traveler interested in more than a package tour. For Boomer travel, Mountaineering and cultural and battlefield tours, get in touch and lets put your African trip of a lifetime together!
